Company Description:

RER manages and has legislative powers in all the subject matters that are not expressly covered by State legislation, according to the Italian Republican Constitution (art. 117).

In particular the branch of RER involved in ENLoCC project is the General Direction on road infrastructures and intermodality department which refers to the Ministry of Mobility and Transports.

The Directorate is responsible for:

- land use and urban planning/development;

- urban redevelopment, promotion of quality in buildings and housing policies;

- supporting the development of Mountain Communities (self governments);

- issuing guidelines for the development of the regional system for the mobility of people and freights;

- analysing and researching in the transports and logistics field;

- planning transport and logistics in the region;

- monitoring freight transport and logistics policies implementation;

- planning transport infrastructures and supporting intermodality;

- supporting the Regional Ministry of Transports in policy making.
