Sapir founded in 1957 in order to project, build and develop the port, represents the main terminal operator in Ravenna nowdays. The company operates in an area of 500.000 sqm and has 1.600 m of quays with a draft of 10,50 m connected with rail network and equipped with 13 cranes from 16 up to 280 t.
The operative area is composed by 50.000 sqm of warehouses and 350.000 sqm of yards used to store goods.
Sapir has many operatives vehicles used to handle goods stored in yards or warehouses and to transfer the cargo.
All the terminals are served by an efficient rail network with more than 15.000 m of track lines.
The whole terminal has been arranged to offer the highest efficiency in handling and storing of fertilizer, clay, iron, timber, plants, liquid products and goods at controlled temperature.
